Spread Out Your Packing
Packing up your belongings can be a time-consuming ordeal. In order to alleviate the stress of the whole moving process, plan on packing over the course of multiple days or weeks (depending on the size of your move). Dust Your Furniture Before the Move
Getting dust into your eyes, nose, or lungs can be an uncomfortable and unpleasant experience, and household furniture can often accumulate a large amount of dust. To avoid any dust-related inconveniences during your move, take some time prior to moving day to go around and dust off all your pieces of furniture. It might seem tedious, but, in the end, you will be thankful that you did it.
How to Pack Your Hanging Clothes
Here is a cheap and easy way to pack your hanging clothes for a move: 1) Get a trash bag, 2) Cut a hole in the center of the bottom of the trash bag, 3) With the clothing still on the hangers, grab a handful of hangers and put the top of the hangers through the hole in the trash bag, 4) Pull the trash bag around the items of clothing, 5) Tie a knot at the top of the trash bag (which will now be at the bottom of your clothing) to keep anything from dangling out. Now, when you get to your new home, all you have to do is take off the trash bag and hang up your clothes!
